神农大剧院采用“人”字形旋转上升的态势，雕塑般的建筑艺术造型及复杂的功能组合，寓意了神农圣火的薪火相传，整体形象犹如芭蕾舞演员展开的裙摆、形似变幻的音符，造型简洁，线条流畅，视觉印象强烈。结构体系极其复杂，最大跨度超高100m，结构外形类似螺壳，如此大跨度的类螺壳结构设计，在国内尚属首次。而在超过100m跨的主结构上布置18m高的幕墙系统及52个最高达35m高的装饰架在国内也均是首次设计。

Shennong Theatre is designed with the fork shaped upward spiral form, sculpture type architectural pattern and complicated functional combination, implying continuous passing of Shennong's sacred torch. The entire image is like the opened skirt of the ballet dancer and the changing notes, with simple modelling, smooth lines and striking visual impression. The structural system is extremely complicated, with the maximum span of 100m, and the outer appearance like a conch shell. Such a large span conch shell-like structural design is the first of its kind in China.  Over the main structure with the span of more than 100m, a 18m-high facade system and 52 decorative frames up to 35m high are arranged, also the first one of the its design in China.
