陈嘉庚纪念馆是目前海内外宣传嘉庚精神最全面最权威的大型纪念馆，为国家标准二级馆。建筑造型设计既遵循具有中国传统建筑特征，又含有闽南地方建筑韵味，同时又有明显的“嘉庚建筑风格”的创作方向，通过广泛采风和深入探讨研究，创作出独具特色的纪念馆建筑，承载和表达了作为后人对陈嘉庚先生的缅怀和崇敬的情怀。本馆建成后，已成为厦门岛入岛处的标志性景观。

Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum, a national standard Class 2 museum, is the most comprehensive and most prestigious large museum for publicizing Tan Kah Kee both at home and abroad. The architectural pattern design follows traditional Chinese building features, embodies the local building elements of Minnan area, and also contains the distinctive creation of "Kah Kee building style", based on extensive folk art collection and in-depth studies, to render it a unique memorial building, carrying the memory and admiration of us as later generations to Mr. Tan Kah Kee. After completion, it has become the symbolic landscape at the entry to Xiamen Island.
